Hostel tower at Salzburg’s central railway station

STRABAG Real Estate is developing one of Salzburg’s most modern hostels in the vicinity of the city’s main railway station. This unique project occupying a vacant site in a prominent central location will be one of the few high-rise buildings in the city.

Fanny-von-Lehnert-Straße, 5020 Salzburg

The winning project in an international architectural competition stands out with its modern design language and striking, monolithic appearance that is sure to create a visual highlight in the surrounding area. The landmark building will feature a total of 82 rooms, each with 2 to 8 beds, making the hostel tower a new state-of-the-art tourist accommodation for travellers in Salzburg.

The site is conveniently located with excellent public transport links, including the main railway station, in the immediate vicinity. The centre of Salzburg, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, can be reached quickly and easily by bus or on foot. Additional sights near the STRABAG Real Estate project include Mirabell Palace, with its magnificent gardens, and Kapuzinerberg, one of the hills flanking the city. To continue one’s travels, the central railway station has numerous regional and long-distance trains arriving and departing at regular intervals.

All of this makes the hostel tower an ideal home base from which to explore the beautiful city of Salzburg and its surroundings. The stunning architecture and surprisingly high-quality amenities for a hostel are sure to leave a lasting impressing with future guests of this first-class location.

The functional layout of the real estate project has been integrated into the adjacent heritage-listed bread factory to become part of the history of the neighbourhood around Salzburg’s main railway station, thereby significantly enhancing the value of the location.
